Team Bios
Trevor Wilson
Before forming Ridge Capital Investors, Mr. Wilson was senior director of Broadreach Capital Partners, LLC overseeing the investment team in the Pacific Northwest, Northern California and Denver. He was responsible for direct and joint venture investment origination and execution of value-add and opportunistic transactions in all product types, including existing properties, development and land acquisitions. Mr. Wilson invested in approximately $700 million of real estate while at Broadreach.
Prior to Broadreach, Mr. Wilson was with JP Morgan Partners (“JPMP”), where he was responsible for the firm’s acquisition and asset management activities in the western United States. Mr. Wilson oversaw joint venture investments in the office, multifamily, hotel, retail, self-storage and for-sale housing property sectors for JPMP. Before that, Mr. Wilson spent seven years with SSR Realty Advisors (now Blackrock Realty) as director of portfolio management, development and acquisitions with a specific focus on development and existing property investments in primary western and mid-western markets.
Mr. Wilson has invested approximately $1.7 billion in office, industrial, retail, housing, land and hotel properties and developments during his 17 year career. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He is an active member of ULI and NAIOP and is a past president of the San Francisco Bay area chapter of NAIOP and also a newly elected national board member. Mr. Wilson is also a licensed California real estate Broker (Lic# 01892726).
Brian Printz, Esq.
Mr. Printz is a Managing Director of Ridge and leads the firm’s multifamily practice. Mr. Printz has over 17 years of extensive, hands-on experience in every aspect of multifamily property investment, ownership and operation. He has been involved in the acquisition, syndication, financing, renovation, ownership, management, and disposition of over 32,000 apartment units, totaling over $1.1 billion in asset value.
Prior to joining Ridge Capital Investors, LLC, Mr. Printz co-founded Bay Equity Real Estate Acquisitions, LLC, where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer for 14 years. His company acquired nearly 6,000 multifamily units across six states, and Mr. Printz controlled over 65 affiliated legal entities. Previously, Mr. Printz served as an Asset Manager and Legal Counsel for FowlerShore & Flanagan, where he helped grow their multifamily portfolio from approximately 5,000 units to over 26,000 units in a three-year period. Earlier experiences included positions with Bayer & August, a small law firm in San Francisco specializing in real estate and corporate law, and with Grubb & Ellis Company, at their corporate headquarters.
After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a B.A. in Psychology and Business, Brian went on to earn his J.D. and M.B.A. at Golden Gate University, graduating with honors achieved in all degrees. In conjunction with his law degree, he earned a Certificate of Specialization in Real Estate Law, while his business degree was in Management and Finance. Brian is currently a licensed member of the State Bar of California and a licensed California Real Estate Broker. He is also an active member of the Real Property Division of the American Bar Association.
Scott Kotarba
Mr. Kotarba is a Principal of Ridge and has been operating within the institutional private equity industry for over ten years with a specific focus on control oriented value-add real estate acquisitions, corporate buyouts and distressed debt investments. Throughout his career, he has completed over $900 million of direct private equity investments with a concentration on superior risk adjusted returns for his capital partners and joint venture relationships.
Prior to joining Ridge, Mr. Kotarba spent four years alongside Mr. Wilson at Broadreach Capital Partners, a $1.0 billion real estate opportunity fund focused on value-add and opportunistic acquisitions throughout the Western United States. During his tenure, Mr. Kotarba had significant responsibility for the firm’s proprietary transaction sourcing, execution and due diligence efforts and invested discretionary capital from BRCP Funds I & II across several product types including office, multifamily, industrial, land and hotels.
Mr. Kotarba began his career as an investment banking analyst in the leveraged finance group of Banc of America Securities LLC (“BAML”) and then joined Genstar Capital, a $500 million middle market private equity firm located in San Francisco. Most recently, he was a Vice President at Guardian Investment Banking, a boutique real estate advisory firm providing M&A, distressed real estate and loan sale advisory services to financial institutions throughout the United States. Mr. Kotarba received a Bachelor of Finance in Business Administration from James Madison University.
Thomas Daniel
Mr. Daniel is a Principal of Ridge and leads the firm’s development, construction and major repositioning efforts. In addition, Mr. Daniel is a Managing Partner of DMS, a leading construction management firm guided by his 20+ years of experience managing pre-construction, construction and post occupancy phases of office, industrial, residential, mixed-use and infrastructure projects totaling approximately 2.9 million square feet.
Prior to forming DMS, Thomas was Director of Development Services for Broadreach Development, a subsidiary of Broadreach Capital Partners, LLC. He also served as Regional Director of Construction for Equity Office Properties in Northern California. As Regional Director, he was responsible for coordinating and overseeing the management team that managed the construction of a portfolio of properties consisting of 20 million square feet, and an annual improvement budget of $40 million. Additionally, Mr. Daniel became Regional Director of Construction in 2001 for Spieker Properties where he directly managed the construction process for the $120 million, seven-acre, Phase I Bay Meadows Redevelopment project in San Mateo, California. Before entering the development and construction management arena, Mr. Daniel worked in several positions that led to the role of project manager for the general contractors L.E. Wentz Company and Turner Construction.
Mr. Daniel is LEED accredited, he also received a Master’s in Business Administration, concentration in Finance, California State University, a Bachelor of Business Administration, major in Computer Science, Georgia State University, Atlanta, and a Certificate for Construction Management from California State University.
Jeff Moseley
Mr. Moseley is a Principal with Ridge and focuses on capital raising and project management. Prior to his involvement with Ridge, Mr. Moseley was with The Pullman Building Company and KMC Inc. overseeing acquisition, entitlement, development, and property management activities for the past seventeen years. Mr. Moseley has experience repositioning and stabilizing several types of assets including industrial properties, marinas, and quarries and has expertise with contaminated project sites.
